About The North Carolina Eye Bank
The North Carolina Eye Bank is a nonprofit organization that
has served the North Carolina community since 1951 by providing
24-hour-a-day, full-service donor identification, consent,
tissue recovery, distribution and compliance with all aspects
of eye donation and the corneal transplantation process. Dedicated
to providing service of the highest quality and the safest
and most viable transplant and research tissue, the Eye Bank
helps people regain their sight directly through corneal transplant
and indirectly through ophthalmic research. Through community
and professional education and public policy work, the Eye
Bank seeks to heighten awareness about the benefits of donation
and transplantation.
