John Paul Yadusky

John was known by all as a dedicated husband and loving father.  People referred to him as a family man.  He never met a stranger and was very outgoing.  Along with his wife and children, they were his pride and joy.  He was always talking and telling stories about his children because they were the light of his life.  Family time and vacations were a huge part of John’s life.  Some of John’s favorite pastimes were going to Disney World and taking their RV to various resorts throughout the mountains, beaches, and the southeast along with barbeques and family gatherings.  His love showed by the amount of time he spent with them and cared for them.  We will all miss him.

John touched so many people through his love for the Lord.  As an active member at Apex Baptist Church, he was a Kindergarten Director for AWANA’s for several years.  John was a member of various men’s small groups and a Yoke fellow.  As a devout Christian, John spoke openly about his salvation and was always willing to share the gospel with others.  What a blessing it is to know as a Christian we will see him again in eternity.

John was a joy to be around.  He was known for his radiant smile and positive encouragement to others as he always made you feel special and uplifted.  John was always willing to help where needed and thought of others ahead of himself.  Not only was he a blessing to his family, he also impacted so many other lives he came in contact with through the years.

John was a dedicated Engineer at Progress Energy with rare qualities of a perfect blend of intelligence and great people skills with an overwhelming positive attitude about work and life.  He clearly cared for others more than himself and every day was a day that John used to cheer up others around him as well as share his knowledge about his job and life.

He always gave of his time and devoted dedication towards church, company campaigns, school activities, and community functions.

Being an eye donor to help two strangers even after he was gone, was typical of John’s way of giving and caring.

Our memories of John will always be remembered with a smile on his face, love of his family and Christ in his heart.  John is in God’s care and always in the cherished and loving memory of his wife, daughters, son, mother, father, brothers, sisters, and his entire extended family and friends.

The North Carolina Eye Bank takes great pride in our ability to share the gift of sight with thousands of people every year through corneal transplant, research and education. This gift does not come without a price. We must remember that for each grateful recipient of a transplanted cornea or medical breakthrough achieved, there is a family who is struggling with the loss of a loved one. These are the stories and remembrances of their family members — the faces of donation.
