| The North Carolina Eye Bank is built on the loyalty
of our donors, the trust of our recipients, and the
teamwork of our employees. As stewards of the public’s
trust, we earn that trust by how well we treat donor
families, how well we work with doctors and researchers,
by maintaining fiscal responsibility, by finding opportunities
to improve operations, and by finding ways to help people
live healthier lives.
As such the North Carolina Eye Bank strictly adheres
to the principles of truthfulness and accountability
in all of its actions. We will strive to improve our
processes and communications, and encourage participation
in making NCEB an organization of excellence. The
NCEB will make a good faith effort to communicate
as appropriate with all stakeholders. Any information
shared with the public regarding the NCEB should be
absolutely correct, and that no material fact, even
if unfavorable, but bearing on the subject at hand,
should be held back.
