N.C. with satellite offices throughout the state.

laboratory equipment.
Each piece of equipment is carefully maintained and
operated by trained eye banking technicians. This helps
to ensure that all quality assurance measures align
with accepted medical standards, meet regulatory certifications
and support eye banking innovations.
24-Hour Donor Communications
Center
The North Carolina Eye Bank operates the Donor Communications Center, a high functioning call center that coordinates all consent and donation activities of the eye bank.
Donor coordinators operate in a high-tech environment designed to manage the information flow and maximize donation opportunities.
In addition to serving the people of North Carolina, the eye bank provides consent services to eye banks located in Virginia and Kentucky. The communications center operates 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
The NCEB is a fully accredited member of the Eye Bank Association of America, is registered as a U.S. Food and Drug Administration human tissue establishment, and is licensed for tissue bank operations in the state of California.
